Box Pressed or sometimes “square pressed” cigars are typically packed in a narrower box to save on shipping space. This was done originally in Cuba and has since been seen in other cigars. The pressure from packing the cigars into a narrowing box causes the cigars become more square on the edges instead of round. This typically results in a longer more consistent smoke of the cigar as well.
